What is SIP Trunking
SIP-Trunk is a connection of a SIP-based company exchange or equivalent to the telephone network and further to the public telephone network (PSTN). The connection is done over the Internet but can be supplemented with secure or dedicated access.
Basically, SIP trunks are telephone line drills delivered via IP with SIP protocol. Using this standard protocol, telecom service providers (VoIP) connect one or more channels to the customer's PBX. Phone number and DID are linked to the SIP trunk. In many cases, the numbers can be ported to the SIP trunk.
